Armath’s Journey

Over the past 12 years, Armath Engineering Makerspaces has evolved into a nationwide and international educational program. Developed in Armenia, Armath is a non-formal educational model aimed to promote STEM education. Armath bridges the tech talent gap in Armenia while fostering regional development through quality engineering education, employment opportunities, and community-driven projects.

Why Armath?

Develop the technical education

Armenia is experiencing a critical shortage of around 700 teachers across its 1,400 schools, with 40% of these
vacancies in STEM fields.

Train a workforce

STEM activities and “Do It Yourself” methodology encourage children to analyze, question, and solve problems, directly enhancing their critical thinking.

Research Opportunities

STEM is a project-based learning where students learn through research, inquiry and active participation.

Our Events

Armath
Techno Camp

since 2013

Offer a dynamic blend of education and creativity with team-based projects, and hands-on engineering activities that provide short-term yet solid knowledge. Through special activities and tasks, Armathians share their experience and knowledge with their peers from the Diaspora and kids who do not attend Armath. The camp is an excellent opportunity for an open dialogue, teamwork, experience and knowledge sharing, establishing ties and friendships for life.

DigiCode applied
Programming Competition

since 2015

Participants compete in three categories: “Virtual Laboratory on STEM Topics,” “Computer Games,” and “Device Integration Using Python and C++.” Additionally, an olympiad is organized for the best algorithmic solution using the Kturtle and Python.

ArmRobotics Competition

since 2008

Students make autonomous robots using different platforms (Rasppery Pi, Arduino, SERob, etc.), different construction methods (3D modeling and printing skills, CNC drilling machine, etc.) and using device integration. It features a variety of competitions, including “Smart robots in emergency situations”, “Autonomous robots on Mars”, “Smart Farm Robots,” “Smart City Robots,” “Maze-Solving Robots,” “Object-Detecting and Transporting Robots,” and “Bomb-Detection Robots.” These challenges provide students with opportunities to showcase their skills through innovative and practical applications.

Engineering Design & Modeling Competition

since 2016

The goal is to showcase students’ knowledge and skills in 3D modeling, using 3D printers and CNC drilling machines, as well as solutions for creating engineering details and mechanisms.

Armath DigiCamp

since 2013

An innovative camp empowering young minds to turn technological ideas into business plans. Participants attend lectures from leading tech companies, engage in teamwork, and benefit from training and success stories shared by top industry professionals. Along with that, children also participate in games, cultural, sports, and outdoor activities, fostering communication and a sense of community.

DigiTec

since 2000

The largest regional tech expo serves as a dynamic platform for tech companies, startups, and technology-driven initiatives to showcase their innovations. Each year, Armath participates in the exhibition, presenting its achievements and cutting-edge projects developed by Armathians at a dedicated booth. Our booth consistently draws significant attention from a diverse audience, including high-ranking government officials, international experts, and individuals passionate about education and engineering.
