Armath Stars
Vahe Asloyan started his journey at the Armath engineering makerspace as a student. He later worked as a software developer at RDesk and advanced his career at Arloopa in Vanadzor. Over time, he became a competition judge and eventually a donor to Armath, supporting the program’s growth.

Alen Hovhannisyan spent four years as a student at the Armath engineering makerspace. He founded the “Online School” initiative, which focuses on innovating education. Currently, he is studying at the Management & Informatics faculty of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA). Alen is also the founder and CEO of the Robi AI startup and showcased his startup as an exhibitor at Digitec 2024.

Narek Chibukhchyan was a student at the Armath engineering makerspace in Ijevan. He is currently serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Narek created a smart school bell and won in the IoT category at DigiCode 2024. He is the founder of a startup dedicated to automation in mushroom farming and also exhibited his startup at Digitec 2024.

Karen Vardanyan
Karen Vardanyan was the mastermind behind the Armath Engineering Makerspaces, turning an ambitious vision into a cornerstone of Armenia’s educational
and technological future.
As the CEO of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), Karen dedicated himself to creating opportunities for young Armenians to explore engineering, robotics, and programming through hands-on learning.
His leadership was pivotal in transforming Armath from an idea into a nationwide program, establishing hundreds of makerspaces that have reached thousands of students. Karen believed in empowering the next generation to become creators and innovators, driving Armenia toward a brighter technological future.

UATE is one of the largest industry associations, uniting 230+ tech companies committed to developing
Armenia’s technological ecosystem. With education and workforce development as one of the core strategic pillars, the Union established and runs the Armath program.

The mission of the Nairi partnership is develop a level of cooperation between the
“school-university-industry” complex in Armenia that will meet the requirements of the
country’s ICT/IT sector and overall economic development in terms of quality and volume.
