DigiCamp Innovative Camp 2016
Organized for the fourth time, the traditional camp has been implemented by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) with the support of the Ucom and the German International Cooperation Agency. In order to take part in the 2016 DigiCamp, 78 out of more than 200 applications have been selected, which have been evaluated according to the proposed ideas and their compliance with the outlined standards.
The core axis for the DigiCamp are the course of innovative entrepreneurship, presentation of success stories of leading Armenian technological companies, practical work with mentors, as well as cultural and sporting events.
Applying the acquired knowledge, the participants presented their business ideas to each other. As a result, the top 13 of the 78 projects have been selected by the same participants which then joined and formed teams. To introduce the projects to the jury’s attention, the teams first participated at innovative entrepreneurship trainings where they studied to build business models and clarified not only the technical components of the ideas, but also consumer segmentation, the market, marketing, and revenue model, as well as found out at what stage of the company’s development they might have financial opportunities and could attract investors.
The three projects evaluated by the jury as the best ones (Laser Security, MuBo, SmartBeeBox) were awarded money rewards to implement them as soon as possible.
Participants also received diplomas and other prizes for their success in various sports events.
