DigiCode/2020
The DigiCode youth programming contest took place in Georgia, Javakheti backed by "Support to the Javakheti foundation" and the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises.
Given the coronavirus epidemic "DigiCode Javakhk" the youth programming competition went online.
In total 56 schoolchildren-participants applied to take part in the contest and 23 of which were selected to compete in the final round. The participants were from Akhalkalaki, Heshtia, Akhaltsikhe and Damala communities. Participants competed with works created in Scratch and K-Turtle programming languages.
The topics of the competition were:
● COVID19
● Support to Javakheti foundation
●Heroes of Javakheti
● Riddles and logical games
● Learning for children
● Art and culture
● The highlands of Javakhk
● We and Technologies
● Fantasy
● Outdoor and computer games.
The participants presented their works to the panel of judges and competed in the following nominees: Interactive Animation, Computer Games, Pixel Design, Math.
The jury discussed the final projects and chose the winners.
"Support to Javakheti Foundation" and UITE have been cooperating since 2018 with the aim of promoting technological employment in Javakhk, creating additional economic activity, which will create the basis and appropriate conditions for attracting investments in the field of IT in the region..
