Armath engineering lab launched in Davitashen basic school N 200
On May 18 basic school No 200 located in Davitashen, Yerevan, had an opening ceremony of Armath engineering lab. This Armath lab of No 200 school is one of over 220 labs operating in Armenia, and it is the 29th in Yerevan. The administration of basic school No 200 has invested the financial resources of their own to ensure innovative education for their students. The network of Armath engineering laboratories is being installed by UITE with the support of donor organizations. The labs operate in the whole territory of Armenia (including provinces) and provide free-of-charge education. The purpose of this innovative education program is offering engineering education for all school-children. The students in Armath learn basics of programming and robotics, and also have the chance to take part in annual competitions and events, like DigiCode, Open Game for Desktop and Mobile games, DigiCamp Summer camps, UAV and robotics competition. Armath kids also take part in Digitec, the largest technological expo in Armenia and other local and international competitions.
